Legends Golf Package

Tam O’Shanter Golf Course in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and Old Avalon Golf Course in Warren, Ohio have joined together to offer our Legends Golf Package.

Named because of golfing greats that visited each course, Arnold Palmer played on Tam O’Shanter’s immaculate greens as a teenager and Sam Snead set the course record there nearly 85 years ago.

Ben Hogan played an 18-hole exhibition round back in 1951 at Old Avalon. He won both The Masters and the U.S. Open that year. August 5th, 1951 was designated as “Ben Hogan Day” at Old Avalon. The golf course was filled with spectators to watch one of the greatest golfers of all time give an hour clinic then head out to play in front of his local fans.

Package prices per person include (1) an 18-hole round with a cart at each course on consecutive days

About Tam O’Shanter Golf Course

Tam O’Shanter is a beautiful 18-hole public golf course located in western Pennsylvania. The owners take pride in being a family-owned and operated business providing customers with a memorable golf experience for over 80 years. With panoramic views overlooking the rolling, wooded hills of the Shenango Valley, Tam O’Shanter is proud to be rated a four-star golf course by Golf Digest and considered “One of Pennsylvania’s Finest Public Courses.”

The #14 signature hole is the 115-yard Par 3 known as “Death Valley” because of the many good scores that have died in its depths! After finishing your round, head to the newly-renovated clubhouse patio that overlooks the 9th and 18th greens. Also, check out their PGA award-winning golf shop that’s one of the best in the area.

About Old Avalon

Old Avalon is owned by the city of Warren, Ohio, and a favorite for thousands of golfers in the Youngstown-Warren area. Since 2019, the course continues a huge resurgence headed by its new PGA Professional and course operator. Improved course conditions and friendly staff are leading the way to its renewed popularity.

Old Avalon is again a favorite for many golfers in the area. The course is known for its small greens and fun layout. The front 9 is more open but the back 9 will provide a challenge with tree-lined fairways and multi-tiered greens. The practice facility is a great place to learn the game as well.
